Hi! My name is Morgan Kane Brons, and I am a former Division I basketball athlete at Iowa State University, where I competed for five years (2018–2023). During my time there, I earned a starting position, became a Big 12 Champion, and made a Sweet Sixteen appearance. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition and Health Promotion, I used my extra year of eligibility to play at a Division II school in Florida, where I once again advanced to the Sweet Sixteen while earning my Master’s Degree in Sports Science.
I’ve competed at the highest collegiate level and know firsthand what it takes to gain a winning edge over your competition—and it all starts with YOU.
Growing up in Utah, I was fortunate to train under a mentor who challenged me physically, guided me through the mental aspects of the game, and educated me on the why behind training. Once I reached the collegiate level, my love for training only grew. I became obsessed with the process, knowing that intentional training, nutrition, and mindset work were the keys to unlocking my potential.
Every athletic career has highs and lows—success is about celebrating the wins and learning how to navigate the setbacks. The foundation of my own success was a structured and detailed training plan, a disciplined approach to nutrition, and mentors to push me in the right direction. Now, I’m passionate about coaching athletes to maximize their potential and reach their highest goals.
I’ve had the opportunity to train professional athletes, and Division I, II, & III athletes across multiple sports, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, swimming & diving, baseball, softball, gymnastics, wrestling, hockey, golf, and tennis. I have also worked with athletes at every stage—from youth and high school athletes to collegiate competitors.
My training philosophy is holistic—strength, mindset, nutrition, recovery, and education. You can’t optimize performance by focusing on just one piece of the puzzle.
A quote that stayed with me throughout my career is:
“Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”
But hard work isn’t just about grinding through practices—it’s about being intentional. It’s about:
✔ Visualizing success when you’re not training
✔ Fueling your body properly after games
✔ Prioritizing recovery to maximize performance
✔ Training with quality movement and purpose
I’ve built my coaching style based on my own experiences as an athlete. I’m here to push, encourage, and mentor you to tap into the next level of your performance.
When you train with Winning Edge, you will gain the essential tools to:
